Ponderosa are very happy to accept group or class bookings, and offer a wide choice of activities to teachers and group leaders. We have educational guided tours, play barn use and activities in animal welfare/husbandry.
We at Ponderosa want everyone to benefit from their visit and we are more than willing to discuss with you any individual requirements you may have. It may be that you want to include more of a specific activity to tie in with project or curriculum work you may already be involved in. Please inform us of your requirements and we will accommodate you to the best of our ability.

Serving freshly prepared high quality food to your table, if you're looking for something a little bit special the restaurant is where you want to go, also boasting a fully licensed bar. (Please contact us on the day you wish to come to ensure the restaurant is open as we sometimes have functions booked).
Through the winter, the Lakeside Restaurant is open on weekends only - unless they have a private function booked in.
Carvery will be served every Sunday from 12pm until 5pm, along with full a la carte menu
We have now installed a new outdoor adventure play area for the younger and also older children this is based behind the coffee shop with plenty of outdoor and under cover seating for the parents, other play areas are also by the lake side and also in front of the coffee shop.
Come and spend an hour in our indoor soft play barn. With ball pools, slides and lots of noisy things to find, you'll have a whale of a time. Please note that the playbarn is suitable for children upto 8 years old. For hygiene reasons, socks/tights must be worn.
Serving fresh coffees and other hot drinks or try one of the many flavours of ice creams available the coffee shop is the place to go!!
Come and visit our pirate ship and make your own sandcastles, with our ever expanding and exciting beach area, that's where it's at!!

A favourite for the children come and enjoy a total adreniline rush on the zip wire based next to the new Ponderosa Adventure Playground.
Come off the M62 at Junction 26 - turn right onto the A638 - Follow this road through Cleckheaton - Turn right at the clock tower in Heckmondwike centre. The centre is sign posted on the right. Turn down Station lane, under the railway bridge, past Al Murad tiles and we are the next left turn.
Turn off M62 at Junction 27 (Showcase Cinema) and pick up the A62 towards Huddersfield. Through 6 sets of light and turn left into Heckmondwike centre - then turn right at the clock tower in Heckmondwike centre. The centre is sign posted on the right.
